3D SKETCHING IN VR

Using Vive + Tilt Brush

For my sketches, I used Tilt Brush by Google, a software that lets you paint in 3D space with virtual reality. I found out that the possibilities are endless when it comes to 3D sketching. It opens up new perspectives and offers you no limitations on your imagination.

The below sketch is my first attempt on the software and I was really enjoying using this as a tool to sketch my 3D project rather than on a flat paper with a pencil.

You could view more closely at my 3D Sketch which I uploaded on Google Poly by clicking this.

PROTOTYPE

For the prototype, I follow a tutorial called "How to rig a snake in Maya" in order to create a little small animation of the dragon. The dragon can swirl horizontally and also can both swirl and move up towards, similar to a snake climbing around the trees. I found this tutorial very helpful because as a newbie to animation in Maya, the tutorial also helps to introduce me to some of the basic terms and tools of the rigging and animating process.
