First Week : Receiving the Brief
I am currently a Graphic Design Intern at Requin Tech, a technology company which focuses on creating an innovative Mobile Application which helps within the process of selling luxury fashion goods and the interaction between customers, retailers and sales professionals.
When I first started, I received the brief from the company that my role is to design the two versions of the Sales Deck - the printed version and the online, scannable version. The first version aims to help the company to create a powerful marketing pitch towards potential investors or clients. And the second version aims to explain and showcase the Requin’s app through dynamic animation. Context is that brand managers open the sales deck the app becomes alive and allows the readers to see visually how the app works.

In order to complete the first printed version of the sales deck, I need to have a fully prepared word document and other related materials like the company's graphs and statistics, so that I could study them and find ways to transform them into visuals. However, after I received the brief, the two founders of the company went overseas for brand meetings for nearly 2 months. During that 2 months, I had contacted them but it was so hard to communicate because of the time differences and their busy schedules. Tyrone, one of the CEOs of the company, said that they had to keep updating the sales deck information everytime they met with brands, because each brand gave them different feedbacks and comments. So I asked them what I could do while waiting for their finalized documents, and they said that they were not very happy with how the website is looking right now, so maybe I could jump in with redesigning their website first.
